We built District Larder Co. on the belief that great food brings people together. Our event catering starts with whole animal butchery and vegetables at their peak, the same approach we bring to everything we do. We're not here to overcomplicate things. Instead, we focus on straightforward classics done right, made for sharing and built for the gatherings that matter.
Whether you're feeding a small crew or a larger crowd, our platters are designed to feed ten to twelve people and built for community. We handle the cooking so you can handle the celebrating. Pick up what you need, and let's make your table something special, the way neighborhood eating should be.

We know planning an event comes with questions. How far ahead should you order? Can we tweak a platter to fit your crowd? What about dietary needs or allergies? We've got answers—and we've kept them simple because that's how we work around here.
Need to swap a side or adjust portions? We'll work with you. If something's not covered here, just give us a call or stop by. We're a neighborhood spot, which means we're here to help make your gathering easy—no hoops to jump through. Just good food and straightforward answers.
Our platters are built to feed 10–12 people generously. That works great for most gatherings, but we get it—every crowd is different. Need to feed fewer? We can scale down. Feeding more? We'll help you figure out what works.
We ask for 48 hours notice as our standard lead time. Got a last-minute gathering? Reach out anyway—we often work something out. We're here to help, not turn you away.
We offer in-store pickup only—no delivery. But here's the good news: you can plan your pickup time to work with your schedule. Stop by, grab your platters, and you're set. It's easy, convenient, and you get to visit your neighborhood spot.
Let us know about any allergies or dietary restrictions when you request a quote for your event. We take this seriously and will work with you to make sure everything is safe and delicious. Your health matters to us.

One of THE best dinner experiences I've had in DC in years and a welcome first meal after moving back. We had six friends in town from all over (NYC, Miami, Melbourn, and Chicago) and I wanted to treat everyone to the best DC has to offer without going to a tourist trap or overhyped spot that's all influencer and no substance. Some friends asked, "are we really eating dinner at a deli??" and I simply reminded them that I've never steered them wrong and to trust the process. And boy did District Larder deliver!!
